“It’s time for a cup of coffee” is practically the national motto of Finland. You’ll find cafes wherever you go, including theaters, salons, and even libraries in Finland.
In Finland, they drink their afternoon coffee with pulla buns, cake, or some kind of Danish pastry.
Don’t be surprised if you hear of a “coffee party” in Finland. These friendly events include snacks, sandwiches, salads, and pastries, with sweet cakes or fruit tarts.
The perfect ending to any festive occasion is to serve a fine dark coffee with one of Finland’s own berry liqueurs.
